Our son started at Pumpkin Patch when he was ~8 months old. Before enrolling him, we had heard plenty of horror stories from friends about their daycare experiences in the suburbs, so naturally we were anxious about the transition. Looking back now, we truly could not have made a better decision for our son. Pumpkin Patch has been one of the greatest blessings for our family and has provided the perfect environment for our son to grow, learn, and develop over the past year. From the incredible staff, who genuinely care for the children as if they were their own, to the amount of thought, preparation, and effort that goes into creating such an engaging and development-focused curriculum, we honestly cannot imagine a better place for a child. One of the highlights of our day has always been receiving the daily pictures and updates. Whether it’s seeing him dressed in a lab coat for his first “science experiment,” playing with colorful tubes, or proudly working on arts and crafts projects like sketches on wooden tree stumps, it constantly reminds us how fortunate we are to have him in such caring and capable hands. We love The Pumpkin Patch and could never have imagined what a great experience our family would have there - not only do they check all of the boxes we were looking for in a daycare but they far surpassed our expectations. Our son started attending TPP when he was seven months old in the infant class and our experience was amazing from the beginning. The facilities are bright, clean, and joyful; the director, Ms. Spencer, is incredible, and all of the teachers are wonderful as well. Our son especially loves Ms. Jameera and Ms. Ada and will jump out of our arms or run into daycare every day when he sees Spencer or any of the teachers, which makes us so happy to know how much he loves it. He thrived in the infant class and they made it easy for us by following his schedule and then tailoring it as he got older, helping him transition to one nap and learn new skills. They are always doing activities with the kids, with different themes each week that they coordinate through every aspect of the center, from incredible decorations and themed photos of the kids to themed arts and crafts and motor activities that help the kids develop. They also always make sure to take the kids outside

We've been really happy with Pumpkin Patch. Spencer is always happy to talk us through any questions we have. She always goes above and beyond for all holidays & birthdays! A huge plus is our son is picking up Spanish so naturally — he'll randomly throw out words and phrases at home, and it's been amazing to watch. The teachers are warm and he loves all of his classmates.

We could not be happier with our decision to send our son to Pumpkin Patch. After visiting several daycare's in the area, Pumpkin Patch completely stood out. The level of care and creativity is truly incredible. Our son comes home constantly surprising us with new things he’s learned, songs he’s singing, skills he’s developing and stories about his day. Every member of the team has been warm, caring, communicative and incredibly responsive. The app updates and photos throughout the day are awesome. Seeing the huge smile on our son’s face while he’s playing with his friends makes me happy. You can truly feel how much the teachers care about every child. As parents, there is nothing more reassuring than knowing your child is not only safe and well cared for, but genuinely happy and thriving. We are beyond grateful for Pumpkin Patch and cannot recommend them highly enough!

Pumpkin Patch is a true treasure of Hoboken, we are so happy that we chose it for our son. We love that it is a smaller, privately owned center that has a very personal feel. The curriculum is so creative and enriching -- we genuinely look forward to seeing the (many!) photos every day. A special shout out for the infant room teachers, who are truly incredible -- they helped us navigate all the transitions (nap transitions, starting solids, dropping naps) and fill the babies' days with fun. There are pros and cons for each daycare, but Pumpkin Patch is a fantastic choice for those who prioritize a creative, Montessori-style approach to education.
